Mission - Green Background Logos

In an outstanding and gallant display of grit, determination, and teamwork, Antrim Ladies GFA triumphed in the All-Ireland Under-16s Championship this past Sunday, 16th July 2023. As the proud sponsor of this team of fantastic young women, all of us here at JBX PaperPak are overcome with joy for the amazing achievement of this inspiring team we are privileged to support.

Even under challenging circumstances, Antrim’s unwavering determination led them to their first-ever All-Ireland U-16 C title. Their tenacity was evident throughout the match in Conneff Park, Clane, and their performance was nothing short of brilliant.

We were captivated by the forcefulness of Erin Stewart, Katie McCloskey, Mia Dembele Mills, Hanna Donaghy, Leah Stewart, and Aoibheann Monaghan on the attack. Even losing a player early to a red card was not enough to gets these girls’ heads down; they stayed focused and fought on, using their strategic prowess to overcome diminished numbers, score key goals, and get ahead in the match.

Though the weather improved for the second half, the challenges facing the team continued to pile up, including Nicole Munce, the team captain, being sin-binned. However, this was not enough to dampen Antrim’s team spirit, as they made use of their honed skillset to overcome the obstacles before them and continue to outscore the opposition.

At JBX PaperPak, we resonate with this same spirit of hard work, determination and teamwork as we strive to bring about meaningful change in the Irish economy towards a more sustainable future. We believe in pushing boundaries and never giving up, values that Antrim Ladies GFA embody on and off the pitch.

Occasions such as this remind us why we so love to support and be involved in traditional Irish sports at the grassroots level. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Antrim Ladies GFA on this remarkable win; their journey exemplifies the power of hard work, fortitude and unity, and we couldn’t be prouder to be a part of their inspiring story.

Our paper straws are made by stacking 3 plies of high-quality food grade kraft paper and putting them through a core-winding machine that applies an adhesive and rolls the straws into shape. They are then cut to size, coated in lacquer to ensure quality and are then ready to be sold.
