JBX PaperPak Straws Are Now ISO Certified

Mission - Green Background Logos

JBX PaperPak is proud to announce that our straws are now certified by the International Organization for Standardization; the global authority on industrial standards certifies that our straws are ‘100% recyclable, biodegradable and compostable’.

We are delighted to be able to put this fantastic news out there, as we work incredibly hard to achieve our high standards of ethical and sustainable production.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a non-governmental body whose membership is made up of 165 national standards bodies from around the world. ISO has decades of history in bringing together market-relevant expertise to develop internationally recognised industry standards.

At JBX PaperPak, we are dedicated to bringing about real, meaningful change in the way we treat our planet. We pride ourselves on the honesty, integrity and transparency with which we operate. We are upfront and open about what we do, and about how we do it. We make it our business to stand up to plastic and challenge the damage it is doing to our oceans and our landscapes. From our 100% recyclable, compostable and biodegradable plastic-free non-toxic products that we regularly check for quality, to our fully recyclable packaging materials, to our annual organised beach cleans all around the world, conscientiousness is our core virtue.

ISO certification is recognised all around the world, and so we are emboldened in our journey into sustainable industry to receive this certificate for our products. JBX PaperPak is the most ethical choice you can make for your straws, and for bulk orders we can even organise a closed-loop collection of the packaging materials your straws are shipped in. We aren’t just all talk when it comes to environmentally conscious business practices, we go the extra mile to back up everything we say.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our paper straws are made by stacking 3 plies of high-quality food grade kraft paper and putting them through a core-winding machine that applies an adhesive and rolls the straws into shape. They are then cut to size, coated in lacquer to ensure quality and are then ready to be sold.
