JBX PaperPak: The Story So Far

Mission - Green Background Logos

JBX PaperPak is a 2019 Irish start-up established to promote an economic shift away from our current reliance on plastic. JBX is an acronym comprised of the first initials of the company’s owners: John, Bevin and Xiomara. John and Bevin have been friends since childhood, as well as long-term business partners; Xiomara is an industry-leading expert in manufacturing paper products. These are the three founding-directors, the J, B and X of JBX PaperPak; they all share a passion for Ireland and Irish business and are committed to being leaders of the paper revolution.

John and Bevin have a proven track record; they have built several successful businesses together and between them have decades of experience in chemical engineering and the recycling industry. They have spent years working tirelessly to combat the growing problem of plastic pollution. It has been their mission to recover and recycle plastic scrap material that would otherwise be sent to landfill. Up until now, they have been combatting the plastic problem by targeting the waste material it produces. With their new JBX venture, that brings Xiomara into the fold, they will now be tackling the cause of the problem as well. JBX PaperPak provides the highest quality paper packaging materials on the market as an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic.

The three JBX PaperPak directors love Ireland, and they have a strong passion for Irish business, Irish industry, and the Irish economy. The company manufactures its products out of its own factory in Dublin, where it employs 8 local people – with plans to more than double the number of career opportunities offered over the next two years. JBX uses all local supply partners for materials and packaging to keep quality high, to keep carbon emissions low and to keep the products Irish. Supporting Irish business while protecting the environment is at the centre of the JBX mission.

JBX PaperPak sells and ships its goods globally and the next 12 months will see the release of a wide range of other paper packaging products. The long history the directors have in recycling illustrates their commitment to safeguarding the environment from the consequences of industrial endeavours. JBX is the next positive step towards a green, ecologically sustainable circular economy. You can trust that JBX PaperPak will provide the highest quality paper products on the market and that when they say their products are 100% biodegradable, compostable and recyclable, they are telling the truth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our paper straws are made by stacking 3 plies of high-quality food grade kraft paper and putting them through a core-winding machine that applies an adhesive and rolls the straws into shape. They are then cut to size, coated in lacquer to ensure quality and are then ready to be sold.
